I have bein tryin to install my mp3 playin and it keeps requestin this driver USB Mass Storage Device v2.00 i have looked online but cant find anything.I did have the driver for it but the cd is badly scratched and I have no idea of the manuf/model number as I have looked everywhere both on the package an the user manual. So please help if u can !!!!!1 Thanx !

I suppose that I do mean to sound a little sarcastic here.
Had the driver but ruined the CD...before you had a chance to install the driver???
You can not find the model number or manufacturer when looking at the manual???
See if you can locate an FCC # on the device's tag. Type it into a Google search.
Without the maker and model number there is no way to know or help you to know which driver it needs.

P.S. My crystal ball tells me a different tale.

I should of red wat i wrote before i posted that :| Anywayz thnx for respondin. I was previously runnin WinXp on my old pc didnt have a problem runnin ma mp3 player but ever since i got this damn second hand pc which has Win98 ive needed to reinstall everythin so anyway I did locate the manuf/model it was infront of me the whole time but i guess i have my reasons for bein a blonde lol its a UFD+MP3 mp3 player / 102.
Thnx again

Don't feel bad about not finding the manufacturer or model number. I did a little searching and found the following:
"The worst thing about this player is figuring out what the heck to call it.
On the box, in the manual, in the software, it's "MP3 Player". Wow, I bet the marketing guys spent days on that one.
There's no product name. There's no manufacturer name. The box also says "Digital Audio Player" and "UFD + MP3" ("UFD" stands for "USB Flash Drive"). This does not help.
The box in question is, in its favour, pretty cool, with little inset magnets to keep the lid closed. But that doesn't help either.
Keep an eye on the names of the devices being detected when you plug this MP3 player in and it becomes apparent that it's based on a SigmaTel STMP3400 chip. But a fat lot of good that does you if you're trying to buy one of them.
If you live in Australia or New Zealand and want to buy one of these players - and, spoiling the surprise, I think a fair few people will, because as it turns out it's rather better than the MuVo, as well as being cheaper - then you can just go to Aus PC Market. Well, not any more you can't; this page is rather old now, and while AusPC sell a lot of MP3 players, they don't sell these models any more. In early 2003, the 128Mb model was $AU209, delivered."
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!
Sorry, I do not check for private messages

I should have added that it's probably going to be an impossible job finding a win98 driver.
It 'might' work on a XP system without a driver.

Take the disk to a Video Rental Store ... they have polishers that might be able to restore it. good luck
