USB Keyboard wont work

I Have had aproblem with my USB printer not working and after searching this site for help I found one which said to delete the USB devices in Devices in Control panel. This was not very wise as I forgot i had a USB Keyboard and mouse DUH!!! I had to restart windows from the reset switch,but when it gets to the desktop is says its intalling new devices press ok to continue, but I cant as the kbd and mouse wont work, they work in safe mode though, there is no PS2 ports to put another kbd or mouse into! Blast it all any suggestions Pleeease?
