Comment:

Since reformatting my hard drive(OS WIN98SE) have not been able to get USB Cable Modem drivers to be recognized. Have used original disk with drivers as well as downloading from web..still not recognized...any ideas? Thanks!

In Device Manager, what does it show under the heading of Universal Serial Bus Controllers
You should have 2 entries
PCI to USB Open Host Controller
USB root hub
Try removing both these entries and let Windows redetect them on boot up.
Are there any exclamation points next to anything in Device Manager ?
