USB camera not working

I use win 98. When I installed a Logitech camera, that connects only to the USB,everything seemed to be fine but when I opened the program that comes with the camera the program insists that the camera is not plugged into the USB port when it actually does. Other USB devices work on the computer (The camera doenst work even when I remove all other USB devices). When I plug the camera the win98 says that it is building a data base for the camera but still it doesnt work. I checked the device manager on the system, and there is a yellow exlamation point on the camera's name. The driver properties say that there is a driver missing VMM32.VXD(NTKERN.VXD) the detalis say its not available. I tried updating the driver from the win98 disc but it didnt help. Win 98 doesnt contain a driver with that name. My USB port is working fine so the problem isnt there, its in the windows properties. The camera is also working fine because I checked it on another computer. How do I find the missing driver, and how do I load it (if that is the problem), or what changes should I make with the windows properties. Please help for I am desperate. thanx
