I am unable to upgrade from Windows ME to Windows 2000 Server. The error message I am getting is, it says is unable to load C:\WINDOWS\UpgDlls\w95upg.dll\WIN9XUPG\W95UPG.DLL
It also says it is unable to upgrade from Win 95.
Please let me know if there is anything special to do to upgrade or if its impossible.

If windows me is installed already.. you can use the windows 2000 disk to upgrade. This is some sort of fluke where windows 2000 thinks that ME is 98. Windows 2000 was released before windows me and it didnt know to exclude ME from the upgrade qualification check.
If you format the HD you wont be able to use an upgrade copy of windows 2000 along with a full copy of windows me as qualifying software because the 2k disk wont recognize it.
The error message you reported is one of many you will receive should you choose to continue with the upgrade. 2k isnt in the upgrade path of windows me and its not supported.
