Hi asger, hi everyone,

I have never used Windows 98 but oodles of Windows 98SE...
Given messages in forums and the fact 98 (1st Ed) didn't last years before 98SE was launched, I guess 98SE is a very stable version.
Just my opinion!

I have been using Win98SE for a number of years and had Win98 before that. While I agree agree SE is more stable than the 1st edition, I believe W2K Pro is the most stable OS Microsoft has built to date. I continue to use SE because I'm used to it and know a lot of the little tricks to keep it running good. Not all of them, mind you, but enough to have confidence in what I'm doing. Just don't want to start the learning curve all over again with W2K.

Hi Ray, hi everyone,

W2K is really wonderful! (but I like Ws98SE too!)

Come on Ray! it's worth using W2K!
Windows 2000 Pro Server is really powerful and exciting! (don't know 2003 yet)

Hi Gerard (how do you get that little ` above the "e" in your name?)

just very comfortable with Win98SE. Thinking about a new PC with P4 and 2 HDD's. Or maybe I'll just upgrade the mobo in my Dell P2. If I do either I'l probably dual boot Win98SE with W2K Pro. I sure like what I've seen and heard about W2K Pro.

Time will tell...

Regards - Ray

Hi Ray,

Of course I have a special hey for that é on my keyboard!
You could get that letter by 'copy and paste' (not easy) or typing & e acute ; (without any space from & to ;)

Thanks, ;-)
