the startup command goes like this: Process your startup command file (autoexec.bat)?--I choose yes Path C:\Progra~1\win98RK;C:\Progra~1\win98RK;C:\Progra~1\win98RK;C:\windows;C:\windows\command? I choose no. I select yes for all the other prompts and window95 will load up. What do you think? Hmmmm.....

Win98 does't need a path command, use edit to put rem at the start of the line. Also not needed are autoexec.bat config.sys if you can find windows drivers for the hardware. What is in the win98rk directory?
On my computer, it seems to me that the command PATH=..... will override the windows path and the error "cannot find win.com" occur. While I use SET PATH=..., everything work fine
