A few things will work: 1. Right click the file and note the DOS filename. Then restart to DOS and delete it from the C:\ prompt using DEL {file name} 2. Try to drag it to the recycle bin 3. Move all other files from the folder that it is in, so that it is the only file left. Then delete the folder. Then, recreate the folder and drag all the files back.

****NOTE
If you choose the last option, and there are programs (exe files) in that folder, ensure that you drag using the Right mouse button and then use the MOVE option. OR, use CUT and PASTE rather than drag and drop. Otherwise, you will create shortcuts to the exe file, instead of moving the actual file.
