Hey

Recently, i've noticed that my computer likes to just flat our restart for no reason, there is no 30 second warning, like the MSBlast virus, it just restarts for no apparent reason. I then noticed that it happens most frequently when i leave my computer and then return and move my mouse, this sometimes causes the computer to just restart, i'm not using any kind of screensaver either. And it might happen if i go away from my computer for 5 minutes.

One of my friends said that i might have a sister virus of the MSBlast/LoveSan Virus, but the idleing kind, where if the computer idles long enough, it will restart once the mouse or activities is continued. He sent me Stinger, which was supposed to detect this virus, but i scanned both my hard drives, and still no luck, i installed MacaFee Virus Software 7.0, it didn't find anything but an IRC-Bot virus, i've noticed as well, that ever since i've installed MacaFee, my computer has slowled down drastically, sometimes folders become unresponsives, or the computer hangs for 20 seconds. If anyone knows of a cure for this virus, or if these two problems are related, or if they can be fixed, i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

WinXP has a cute way of avoiding the BSOD. Instead of displaying an error message it reboots. To see what the error is causing the reboot, do the following:
Start->Control Panel->System->Advanced->StartUp and Recovery->Settings->. Then under "System Failure" uncheck "Automatically restart".
