Hi all guy´s. I wanna protect only a folder, here, in my working PC, so nobody of my colleagues can open it. Is there any way to such a thing?
Best regards. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong.

... there are loads of programs 4$$$'s that will do that.
... there are a lot of free zip, rar progs that have options to password protect the contents of what you wanna zip/rar-up including whole folders out there in the World Wide Web
... eg: http://www.freebyte.com/fbzip/
Grrrr
wat do I know?
... got brain freeze

Depending on how adept they were with 98 or how insistent they were on finding it you could make it a hidden folder and/or move it to some obscure place--folder within a folder within a folder, for example. As long as 'show all files' isn't checked in VIEW--FOLDER OPTIONS--VIEW they'll have a hard dtime finding it.

Daveincaps: This is a great idea. Very thanks.

You're welcome. Deliberately misplacing a file or folder in the jungle of data on the typical hard drive can make it virtually impossible to find unless you know where to look.
But it's not quite as secure as measures like a password as mavis007 suggested. For example, if they're familiar with the file or folder name or even a file extension they still could find it doing a FIND--FILES or FOLDERS search. In that case renaming the folder or it's files could help.

Daveincaps: Very thanks again. But I can´t understand where you told me "welcome..." I´m some years old here, but hate windows. I currently pay attentionn in DOS forum, the more intresting for me.
In any ocious time I´ll search for the programs that Mavis007 suggested me.
Very thanks to all here.

I remember hiding folders on my mp3 player, in 1, 2, 3, and 4 subdirectories so that no one can find my private information!
