Links don't always work in this forum. Maybe typing errors. Click the 'Homepage' link. If that doesn't work, enter it manually:

Remember the lawsuit? That's what started it all! You CANNOT remove the browser from the Operating System. In fact, Micro$oft says it can't be done. Baloney.

IEradicator does it just fine.
But first, make sure it DOES support removal of IE6. If not, IE6 will allow you to "degrade" to 5.5, 5.5 to 5.1, 5.1 to 5.0 and there she stops. Just kick it back to 5.5 and IEradicator will take care of IE in nothing flat.

If you are removing IE because you are having troubles and you plan to re-install it:
IEradicator to remove IEv6.
Then boot to safe mode and find c:\windows\system\webcheck.dll and change the extension to .old . Re-boot and run ie6setup.exe (download this from M$ before you start).

Soon after I did this I went to Half.com and it caused a M$ upload to trigger (Java-Script). OK

Ran the product update routines.

No worrys :)
