For some reason i don't have internet explorer and internet tools in the add/remove list, so i can't fix the problems on the explorer, i thought maybe i need to take it out and install again. but i've no idea what are the files and folders associated with it, can someone tell me?

Ieradictor at www.litepc.com will show you and remove them all too if you want.

Before going that route try going to Start, Run, msinfo32, Tools, Internet Explorer Repair Tool (if available).

Try to repair IE5 first:

Start,
Programs,
Accessories,
System Tools,
System Information,
Tools,
Internet Explorer Repair Tool.

This should do the trick !

Yet another way to get to IE Repair:

Paste this into the Run box and hit Return key:

rundll32.exe setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance

Go off-line before running IE Repair.
