I have been facing this writer problem since i formatted my hard disk.Now i cant uninstall nero 5.0 neither is it able to write a cd.I get an error stating that there is not enough space to write the image file.why?also the writer drive is not working,i inserted a cd into it and its not able to read it.Why?please help !Im great!

You probably have nero set to record an image to the HD and then are saving that image. Your HD is probably too full to allow another image. I don't recall the file extension of Nero images but someone using Nero may post back that information. Then you can do a FIND--FILES AND FOLDERS and locate the files with that extension and delete those you don't need. In the meantime you should be able to set Nero to burn without recording an image to the HD.

What size HD do you have? Is it showing the correct size if you right click on it in 'my computer' and choose 'properties'?

I'm not sure if your problem is due to inadequate space on your HD for another image or if it's something else. I don't have Nero on any any machines right now so I can't tell you specifically how to keep it from making an image. But usually when you're setting it up to copy a cd it'll ask about making an image on the hard drive first. If you choose to make an image it should ask after the burning is complete if you want to keep the image. The file extension for nero images should be nrg. So you could do a FIND--FILES AND FOLDERS and in the 'named' line type in: *.nrg Have it search the entire c: drive. You can right click on any of the files that are found and choose 'delete' to remove those you don't want. That should clear up the space on your hard drive, if that is the cause of the error message.

I searched.Its showing only one image file and when creating a cd there is no option where it says "Do you want to copy the image to hd first"or something like that.What do i do now? !Im great!
