Unable to determine CD-ROM Drive

Trying to reinstall Windows 95 from original Master Restore Diskette - after inserting the Master Restore Diskette and turning on the computer, it gives the message "Unable to deterine CD-ROM Drive Model" and I can't go any further. The CD-ROM drive works, and I have a boot disk that acknowledges the CD-Rom drive. How can I get this computer back to it's original state (I want to give it to my niece).

Hi Kirsten, Can you post here the contents of the floppy config.sys and autoexec.bat? M2 If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.
