Hi all. I´m using a 486 with 2 HDD independently. One has DOS7.10 + usbaspi.sys and di1000dd.sys in the config sys, so I can use a USB pendrive on DOS, but, the other HDD has W95, the usb root appears in the system folder, but when acceding the pen the system hangs. I do not undertand why. Does anybody knows any of these??? Pd: USB pen is a Kingstone data traveler 2Gb.

W95 does not support USB pen drives you need W98SE

You could try setting up config.sys the same way as in the dos system. But even then the drive may run in dos compatibility mode.
As already mentioned, most of the newer USB stuff likes at least 98 SE. But some die hard 95 fans have been doing some experimenting and occasionally get results. You may want to email the person who posted here:
and ask for the URL. He never posted back on that thread.
Try googling pendrive 95 drivers. It looked like there were some good links there.

The last cheap one I bought wouldn't work in any OS prior to WinXP according to the instructions and trial. I guess if they don't need to write drivers they can sell the drive cheaper.
