I'm trying to install the original software from my Sony recovery CD; it goes through the whole deal and is booting up for the first time, when bam! sudden stop and the command to "Type the name of the command Interpreter" (eg., C:\windows\command.com) I don't know what they're talking about. I found another person's message where they'd written in and were told to "sys c:" Tried that, didn't work. Does anybody know what to do?

Another possibility is a virus.....I had the same problem after contracting the Junkie Boot Virus........it corrupts command.com so on the boot you get: The following file is missing or corrupt. Please state the location of the command interpreter (i.e. command.com) if so, then a complete reformat is in order.
