I have had two thoughts about making my internet experience more organised and enjoyable. I dont know whether there anre any systems out there that do this already but pls give your thoughts comments and possible help thanks !
Question/ Idea 1
How many people use various computers to access the internet. Well do, it gets really annoying when you are using a different pc and you need a favourite web site etc but its on your home favourites folder. My idea would be to set up a home page. On this home page I would like 2 things.
1 A table of all my email accounts ( ie hotmail, yahoo, email etc ) on the table hopefully if it can be done would be a figure of how many emails are in the account that are new. Also then by clicking on the email row it would launch a new window straight into that email inbox. I hope that this cna be done, I have seen a similar thing used by the MSN instant messanger, so I'm hoping it can be done on a web page.
The other thing would be to have my favourites folder on the web page, I wouldn't mind how it actualy looked but if I could use it like it appears on my IE5 ie as long as they were links to the pages and sectioned off like on the drp down. It would be fine, the only other thing that I would need is to have a method of updating the webpage with the contents of my favourites folder as and when I made changes.Question / Idea 2
This one I think cannot be done but would be really handy ! How many emails have you al got ? I have a few but the main used ones are my work one, my home one and my mobile one. I was thinking would it be possible to have one e-mail address that would be semi-inteligent.
The idea is as follows. You would input some information onto ..... ( possibly a web site ) this would be in a form of times etc. Now you would have one email address. This would get sent to the web page and then it would be processed for forwarding by the variable that you specified.
Saying it in another way. If you put that work was 9-5 mon-fri and home was 5-9 mon-fri was home and weekends were mobile. Therefore when a e-mail was sent to you depending on which band the e-mail was recieved would depend n where it was forwarded to.
I think that for this to work I would need to set my Pc up to be a web server to do all the computing and processing as I dont think that any other would offer this service. I am only a personal user so I wouldn't want to pay for this ervice but it would be a bloody good idea !What do you all think ?
Please give suggestions, thoughts and comments on this even if you cant help.
Thanks
Scott

Question 1: all you have to do is practice your web making, but it is possible.
Question 2: Is why don't you have one of your e-mail accounts fowarded over to a main e-mail where you can access it where ever you are. You can even do a Guestbook type of thing to where it informs you when someone has left a message. Have one for each specified time schedule.
Good Luck

The quick way of getting all your favourites in to one HTML file is to use import and export from the file menu in IE.

%I did that, the web page, with my bookmarks but it is just as easy to do a search of my bookmarks (Netscape) to find the one I want. I just make sure there is unique wording, I may have to type into the bookmark description or title, but it works quite well. I don't have to worry about organizing I just have to remember the unique wording, say for this page it might be 'Two questions' that is what I would memorize.
&I found this on mail city, so forwarding
might be something to look at:
"Save time by reading all your personal and work email from your MailCity account!
Check Other Email lets you read all your email from your MailCity inbox, as long as your other providers or ISP use a Post Office Protocol (POP 3) server."
#Those are all legitimate ideas. Now somebody set this up, give us the address or instructions, and everybody else can copy what was done.
=And that's all I have to say about that.

www.blink.com will take care of your first problem. When you sign up for the free service, it will allow you to make a copy of all your favorites from your computer on to their website, which will allow you to access your favorite from anywhere
