Two Harddisks???

i've just bought a second harddisk and at first my pc didn't see it. i fixed that in the bios so after that it run great. Then my pc started to freeze up nuttin worked and then finally(after many restarts) he couldn't even see a primairy boot disk. Anybody got an idea on how to fix this problem? plz let me know..........tnx
