TWAIN. Unable to enable Twain Source

I have just installed a scanner and the error messages I am getting...... "Get Vxd Entry Point Fail" "Error code 999" and Unable to enable Twain Source" Would someone out there help me out? Thanks

What brand and type of scanner? Usually you plug it into the pc, into the power source, install the drivers, open a graphics program, click File, click Select Source, click your scanner, scan something, all done. READ the readme's, text files, help files, owners manual, go to the scanner mfg's site.
