I am trying to run Wing Commander Privateer and Strike Commander in Windows. I know that if you try to run dos games through windows you have to set up the properties of the game not to detect windows. I am running in Windows 98 Second Edition and when I try to run the dos games it gives me an error message saying {Protected mode driver is not responding to EMS function calls. Make sure your EMS driver is not configured with the NOEMS option. If it is, replace the option "NOEMS" with "RAM".} Can I switch this so called option anywhere? If so, how do I do it. The reason I don't run the games in dos is because my mouse, cd-rom, and sound drivers are not installed into dos. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Hi Nikeportugal.
Just open c:\config.sys, and find next line: 'device=c:\windows\emm386.exe noems'. If this line there, so replace 'noems' with 'ram'. If this line absent, add 'device=c:\windows\emm386.exe ram'. But be warned this may cause an errors in different applications.
