Hey, I just got a laptop, the laptop has no floppy drive, and it has no operating system on it, Although it does have a Cd-rom drive, So without a floppy drive I cant use a boot disk to install Windows, I was wondering if there is any boot disks that are in Cd-rom form. So I could stick the cd-rom boot disk in the laptop and it will boot, and then I could install Windows, Thanks for your time. Please respond with suggestions or if there is a way to make a cd-rom be a boot disk. Thank you

If you have a system with a CDRW drive you can make a bootable CD. Just add the win98 folder froma win98 CD to it.

If it is a formatted HDD and you have a Full Win98 CD, changing the Boot Sequence to CD-ROM >HDD in the BIOS , you can start the PC with Win98 CD in for the Win98 setup.
If you need to Partition or Format the HDD the above is not an option if the OS is Win98 but you can if you have Win2000 or XP.
