I had a W98 loaded with stuff and the last thing I had installed was KaZaA Media Desktop, that worked just fine. I formatted my HD and reinstalled W98. Now, I reinstalled KMD and it's not working. At one point (indetermined) after I connect and start downloading, an "illegal operation" message pops up, and I have to close the Kazaa.exe - I'm from Brazil and it's difficult for me to translate the details of the error message. It has something to do with a "battery", or a "pile" fault and then shows "registers": EAX=00000080 CS=015f and so on...
I tried other P2P softwares ( Grokster, Kazaa lite) and the same thing happens with those. If you want to help and need more details, feel free to use my e-mail : mbt@terra.com.br
Thanks in advance.

make sure all programs are closed when you are downloading and if you still get the illegal error then you probably don't have enough memory
