Hi i have some troubles with my printer.
I have an HP 610C deskjet.
when i am going to print appears a dialog box showing this message:
"wrong to write on LPT1, with printer (HP deskjet 610C series) deleting file to print"
i tried to print a test piece of paper but i failed.
i would like to know what is the problem with my printer.
thanks

That sounds like an odd ball error message to me, but I'd go into your printer folder and double click on "Add Printer", and choose the same make and model, install it on LPT1 again, make it the default printer and try to print a test page to it again. Make sure your cables are on tight at both ends. Worst case scenerio is your LPT port is bad. Post back, let us know what happened.

moises,
You sure that your printer has a serial cable using LPT1? I'm not positive but i think my installed a HP 610C for my friend and i thought it had a USB cable? I could be wrong about the model so ignore this if i am. If i'm correct you should uninstall the printer and reboot with the printer turned in and THEN plug the USB ncable in once you've booted up and then reinstall it assigning it to a USB port instead of LPT1. Good luck.

Hi.
i followed the instructions from raincheck, and i have not resolved my trouble, i test the cable and is right. i am starting to think that my printer is damaged.
thanks for your advices.

I've got the same problem MOISES, my DJ 610 CL just stoped working giving me the same message, I've looked at everything, cables, port, drivers and all of this looks like it's working.. except for the printer !!!
I think the printer just died ... :-S
If I find anythig else I'll let u guys know...
