Comment:

I had a file win32sys.exe, which was infected with a trojan horse. Could someone tell me what this file is used for since the program that found this change the name, becauseit could not disinfect the virus. So far I have found no problem in the performance of my PC, except that it seem to be running a little faster than usual. If I need this file where can I get it from.

Thank you

It could be almost anything !
the name is not importante , is important the lenght of the virus ,so it could be BO or another , it depends on teh Anti Virus u have used !
Probably this file is only the virus and not worth for anything else !

goto the directory and try to delete !
if Windows can't delete probebly is Bo !
but could be another one !
Bot from a normal diskete and delete the file !

I had a similar problem. My pc was working fine and i downloaded the latest mcafee virus scanner. It found the trojan horse in my win32sys.exe file. It couldn't clean it so i deleted the file. Now when windows comes up it displays the desktop and then gets a fatal error in windows and locks everything up. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions??? Thanks

Run the AntiVirus in DOS (boot with a system disk and run the dos version of the AntiVir) Win said that can't clean the virus because it is loaded in memory when windows starts

I recomand RAV (Romanian AntiVirus. It'a romaian antivir but one of the best in the world (nr 3 in "VirusBultin" report)

In response to response # 13 and all, I once found this way to find out if you got one. Goto run from the start menu and run sysedit, then goto the win.ini file look at the lines "load=, and run=", there shouldn't be anything in these two lines. So scroll right left, whatever and see if there's anything there. If there is, then copy the line to a blank text document and save the file (i'll use "1" just as an example). Now go back to the sysedit and delete whatever you see in the "load=, and run=" lines (make sure you have copied it into file 1.txt). Save all changes to win.ini and reboot. If the problem disappears, good! If you get a worse problem, then use file 1.txt to copy the lines deleted from win.ini back into their respective locations. Hell, it's worth a try! By the way, this is kinda old so see if it works. and finally to be politically correct:

*I, or computing.net take no responsibility whatsoever for what happens to your computer. You got your stupid selves into this and it ain't our problem.

The best advice I can give u is to know and trust who you d/l s--- from, cause you will get fu**ed if u ain't careful. About anti-virus softwares, try F-prot, I 've been told it's really good. Peace, good Luck!

Trojans allow other people access to your computer while you are on the internet. Download something like The Cleaner. It's an anti-trojan program, and will delete it. You can simply download a 30-day trial version. It will do the trick.

The trojen horse you speak of is a real pain! I know becaouse I use them! I only use these little horses to fix bugs in friends computers! Not all trojen horse user are bad! But if you don't know how it got there then be alittle concerned! Most of the time people use this as a game, just to see if they can gain access to another computer! And as well as brush up on there skills! Now for some sulotions! The only way I know how to take one of these horses off is for the person who put it on there to take it off! That is the most successful why I know how! Like I said befoe; I only use them for good perpuses! Please email me back and I would be glad to chat with you to teach you more! I know I can find a way to circumvent this out of you system! Thanx!
