I can only access 16 or 256 colors with my current driver. Is there an updated driver that will let me access more colors with windows 95? like 16 bit??

I am having the same problem. I am running
Trident super vga with a dell super vga
monitor. I only get 16 & 256 colors. I used to have 16 & 32 bit true color with my old
card. I wish that I still had it,but it
died on me. There must be something that we
can do.

Download the win95 driver from this site, run the exe and then change the driver to the folder where the files extracted.

I had a similar problem and found that using the IBM 8514A driver (on my Windows 98 CD) convinced my computer to show 16-bit and 24-bit color on my TANDY (Radio Shack) monitor.

I hope this helps someone.

I finally found a page with a lot of drivers for many graphic cards:

http://www.ktech.ro/driver/Vga/

I think my card is a Trident 9420 PCI, but I´m not sure as this is just the computer I´ve been given in my new job. However, I downloaded this driver and it works:

http://www.ktech.ro/driver/Vga/TRIDENT/9440/win95.EXE

I can get up to 16 bit color in 800x600 and true color in 640x480. The driver suggested by Walt Wilson above produced interferences in my display everytime the hard disk was working.

I hope you all can solve your problems with this help.

you should try nabing the vid drivers
from 95d or nt4 or higher.
your problems are solved.
as for por res find the actule driver for your monitor you need both drivers.vidio & monitor.and install them both from scratch.
this lets them work together.
ps.vidio card driver gets installed first.
not a problem...
atleast for my system.

My default trident SiS video driver does not
work properly. I installed the alternate
driver supplied by windows95. This solved my video problems. For info on this goto:
My computer - windows - options - cabs - ols - msn - readme.
To make the change goto: Start - control panel - display - settings - advance properties - change.
