Trident 9440 PCI Video Card and Drivers

Hi.
Okay, this is my problem. The Trident 9440 PCI card I have wouldn't properly display some games and applications. The screen would distort.
Now, after looking through alot of these messages, I decided to hunt down the new drivers. They were beta, but -- I thought they might work.
Now, games and applications work. But not without a catch. This is the catch. Now I get animation flickering when I web browse or open and close windows.
Anyone know a fix?
INFO: Trident 9440 PCI, TVM Monitor and the screen is set to 800x600x16True. I hope that is all you need.

I tried to increase the memory of my 9440PCI video card inserting 2 x 512K but the card do not recognise the ships. Is there any jumper to be installed on the card. Could someone help on my problem?
