Are you using MSN? try this - read the archives on trayclnt in this forum to get the background - but don’t delete any files as suggested – if you did put them back. STOP using the blue msn login which automatically comes up when you launch IE or Outlook Express, close IE and Outlook Express and go to dial up networking as suggested by Zack in one of the archives. Type in the user name in this format MSN/username. Put in password. The dial up phone number may be in there and should be the same as when you use the regular login screen. Once logged on – open Outlook Express – you will be prompted by a different log in screen. If your email address appears in the username box, delete the extension .email.msn.com and just use the username by itself. Add the password and voila! You should be online WITHOUT the trayclnt (not responding) problem. Check by looking at it by selecting ctrl-alt-del. I’ve been online for awhile now – and so far so good.

Under control panel/system in performance, graphics, set your accelerator to the third setting (helps with the mouse pointer).

Try these other ideas to by checking out HP support pages:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/personal_computing/support_doc/bph07125.html and read all the messages, especially about the IE conflict with mcafee.
