Depending on the two computers, the easiest way may be to use the "Direct Cable Connection" utility in Windows. It allows you to quickly connect two computers together using a parallel or serial cable. (My printer cable works great for this)
Via CDs? Serves two purposes. Transferring the files and gets them backed up (which I bet you never did).

Direct Cable Connection will work, but it is PAINFULLY slow. (By the way, Jeff...your printer cable WON'T WORK !!!!!) You need either a serial (poor choice) or parallel (much faster) CROSSOVER cable, also known as a Laplink cable or null-modem cable.
Quicker methods would include:
If you have NIC's in both computers, setup a simple LAN & transfer files this way.
The quickest & easiest method would probably be to temporarily install the old HD into the new computer as a slave, then just use drag & drop. This requires NO additional hardware or software.
