tough Graphics Card Problem

I have been assembling a computer for a friend of mine from 2 different machines. Everything was going OK except that the graphics card would only work in 16 colour and 640 x 480 mode. As I said everything was working perfectly except for this problem I have tried a few things, like put in another graphics card, but only made the problem worse. I went back to the orginal card and now I can only boot the machine in safe mode. If I try to run it normally I get a "fatal exception error ..... in VXD VGA (02) " and cannot go any further. The strange thing is that even though this is a good graphics card it only recognised it as a standard VGA card.

Hi Anthony, hello everyone,
You need to install the drivers for the video card. Windows will load a generic driver limited to 640 x 480 and 16 colors so you can install the correct drivers.
