If you are running Windows 98 there is a stretch option on the Background page of the Display options window under Control Panel. If you are running Windows 95 you will have to stretch the background manualy. You can open the bitmap in the paint program and pick the Stretch/Skew option under Image. Experiment with percentages untill you find one that stretches the image to the size of the the screen settings then save it under a new name.
