Toshiba Laptop Monitor Problem

I had a problem accessing the internet and reinstalled Windows 95 from my original 28 floppy disks which corrected that problem. Now I can't get the monitor to provide 256 colors even though before I reinstalled Windows 95 the system functioned fine with 256 colors. The monitor is a laptop display panel (1024x768). The Chips & Tech Super VGA has drivers vmm32.vxd (vdd.vxd) and vmm32.vxd(vflatd.vxd) 4.03.00.1096 1992 - 1996. Where can I get drivers that will give me 256 colors? Thanks, Joe

You shouldn't settle for 256 colors when you probably can have more out of the system. :-) Depending on the family/model of your laptop that is. May need to settle for the next lower resolution (800*600), than you may be able to have 16 bits High color. Looks so much better.
If you can post back the family/model of your Toshiba Laptop, a direct link to the official Toshiba download site for your laptop could be posted here. With that link you can get all available drivers for your laptop needed, including a manual and/or technical specs. if available.
