Toshiba laptop hard disk problems

We have had five hard disk failures in our Toshiba 430CDS laptop. I suspect that Toshiba has a problem with the 1.4GB hard drive in this unit or with the 430CDS itself. Please let me know if you have had similar problems.

My system setup on the Toshiba Satellite T2400CT/320 has no harddrive. The hard disk setup area read: No drive. What replacement software do you suggestion I get, a motherboard to upgrade or a harddrive and how much does things cost.

We too lost a hard drive on our 430CDS and fortunately found someone (locally--Albuquerque, NM) to replace it. However, the CD/Disk(s) with all the drivers, etc. are missing. Anyone have an extra, or can burn a copy?

Try opening up your laptop to see if the card drive came disconnected somehow. I know it sounds weird, but it happened to me and I was about to trash the whole computer! Good thing I looked!
