i have a toshiba satellite pro 400 CTS and it wont boot. neither removing the battery nor one of the the RAM chips did'n't fix it.
could it be a BIOS virus? the hdd led blinks a little bit and then dies.thanx

I have toshiba laptop as well, a little more info like what was it doing before it stopped booting. Any similar problems ever before?
do you have a startup disk? Use it now....
will it even get to "starting windows"??
if it does, hit F8, and select the safe mode, once there you can analyze this better
don't mess with ram chips unless you really know what your doing....
you may need another pc to download a bootup disk that you can use on the laptop
try bootdisk.com then choose your windows format to download
