I try to watch movies on my old 386 pc. I get the sound just fine, but the film is slower than the sound, like freezing sometimes. I've tried each and every codec known like, acemegacodec, kazaalitecodec, etc.
What can i do more? I have a stealth s60 7000(the only one that fits in my pc, but please help me to whatch movies on my pc.
Thank you!

too new in this world of pc's to say too much!!!

You could try shutting down any other programs that are running. Use ctrl+alt+del to bring up the Close Program window. You can close everything down except Explorer.
BUT, don't forget to start up your anti-virus and Firewall before going online.

I would have thought the only way to watch a movie on a 386 would be to set a TV and VCR on top of it.

Wait a minute. That's not a 386. That video card is either PCI or AGP. No way would it fit in a 386.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

GOD, NOW THAT IS FUNNY

I'd recon we could positively identify that PC as not a 386. the give away for me was Windows 98 will not install on one.
Could you post back more accurate details of your CPU and what type of movies you are trying to play?

Even if it is a 386, with enough RAM, QuickView used to work on it.

QuickView System Requirements
The player is a 32 bit protected mode program and therefore needs at least a 80386 processor. For playback of MPEGs with higher resolutions, a Pentium 166 system is recommended. For sound decoding you must have a coprocessor. Full screen video playback is supported either using hardware scaling (certain graphics chips only) or via software (requiring more CPU power).
The player will run under DOS 3.0 or better, or in a DOS shell under Windows 95/98 and OS/2. You must have a VGA card in your system. For sound support you must have a Sound Blaster compatible sound card, a Gravis UltraSound Classic or MAX, or a Windows Sound System.
