http://www.computing.net/drivers/wwwboard/forum/2187.html

but wouldnt let me reply to it because it was too old or something and i looked everywhere for this solution and couldnt find it but i found it myself and wanted to help others. mike

hi i had the same problem and cured it.

i first all the ide controllers that were there intel .... and the 2 standard ones shutdown the computer and removed the cdrom(ibm thinkpad 600e) and restarted it found the 1 standard ide controller then i ran a reg file that came on a driver cd which is (copy and paste into notepad and rename to reg.reg)

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\PCI]
"71118086"=hex:0C,00,00,00

.....end of regfile

now run the reg.reg file it will say do you want to enter the information into the registry say yes. now shutdown the computer and put the cdrom back in and it should work. hope this helps mike :)

email me if you need futher help or visit my homepage and post on the forums www.delta.interactiveltd.com icq 82991416
