Ok, we print from a dos program to a hplj1200
. This setup has worked for years. Now when I print from the program it prints 2 pages then the busy light blinks on the printer then nothing comes out. I have:
1)tried a new cable
2)tried a new lpt port
3)checked the irq/resources of the lpt port
4)tried a new printer of the same model
5)tried printing just from the dos prompt(with the same results)
6)replaced spool32.exe and spoolss.dll with the originals from the cab files.

What am I missing?

Mike

Have you tried HPs website? There seems to be alot of info on that printer.

If you are desperate, you could try running the program in Dos Standalone.
