Greetings,

Looking for opinions here. I need to replace my Cyrix 233. The main function of my board is Digital Audio (Wife and kids might diagree).

My board will accept up to 300 Mhz. Top clock speed of 83.

Is the Intel 233MMX my best bet in the socket 7 category-AMD?? I guess Floating point math is a big consideration here.

Any suggetions.

Thanks,

Doug

Intel 233mmx would be fine. A little tip: a Laptop 266 (not PII) mobile processor is just a 233mmx running at 75mhz. Doesn't even get hot. Not that I would recomend such a thing ;-)

Doofus,

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I will get the Intel 233 and try my hand at overclocking.
