There is a 35 k gif file, in the Windows Temp Internet file folder, that will not allow me to delete it. I delete these temp file regularly, using Windows explorer, and all in the past, seemed to delete. Not this one.
----------------------------------------
this file, is a little advertising box, about 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches, advertising its swimming pools. It puts itself, on the Internet explorer page, in the upper left corner. -----------------------------------------------
Any suggestions, on how to delete this file? I have run adware ware, but, for some reason, is does not see that file, and so does not remove it. Thanks in advance, for reply's.

remove the attributes for it then try again. You can either right click or do it from a prompt. From a prompt would be attrib -s -h -r file.name
wcr3d

Thanks. But, the right click did not work. Your comment on the attributes, cause me to try to use "find it", and I searched there, found it, then tried to delete it, first by cutting. That seemed to do something, but not completely remove it. Then, I tried the "delete" in the find area, and it seemed to work.
----------------------
But then, I went back to Windows Explorer, to make sure it was gone. But, it was not gone. So, I tried to delete it in Windows Explorer, and this time, it DID delete it! Good news. I'm not sure how it worked, but it did work. It probably had something to do with the attributes, that you mentioned. Thanks.
P.S. When I cut and deleted it in the "find file" area, the menu under "file" came up, with something like "Add Ohiopool3.gif to ". I hope it didn't just move it somewhere else in Win 95, and it will pop up somewhere else later. Maybe it said that "add ..." because I had just "cut" it, in an attempt to delete it.
-------------------------
In any case, it seems fixed now, thanks to your input and suggestions. (Unless it pops up again later, hope not)
