having the folowing 2 errors
1. norton utils reports ;
c\windows\system\vtnirq.pci cannot access a necessary file "pci.dll" ?
2. taskmon.exe causes an illegal eror when shutting down the machine ?

any info on the above help please ?

first unload norton utilities and see if you still get any errors

Applog folder could be damaged. Task Monitor tries to update lofg files in this folder.
Rename the applog folder to applog2. Then reboot your system. If can't see, make sure you are showing all files. The applog folder will be re-created...
