Taskbar Shortcuts

Comment:

I had some shortcuts on my taskbar rather than my desktop. I was messing around (like an idiot) in msconfig and I must have screwed something up because they are no longer there. The 'show desktop' icon is even gone. There are NO shortcut icons at all (and no they are not just hidden). I have got them back by right clicking on my taskbar and marking 'quick launch' under toolbars but as I'm sure you know, they are not in the right place. Rather than being to the left on my toolbar (next to the start button), that is where my open programs now show and the shortcuts are to the right. What did I do so I know NOT to do that again and how can I fix it? I'm using Win98SE. Don't worry, I've already slapped myself so no need to bother.... :)

You can move that area around; move your mouse next to the dividing bar until a horizontal double arrow shows up and drag it wherever you want.

Do as Renaissance Man suggest but drag past the vertical bar on the left and drop.

I submit it was the Quick Launch and not the Taskbar that you lost. Below is a "who's on first" for that part of your screen.

dmorse03 - how did you do that with Yahoo briefcase? Yahoo discontinued public access for briefcase, at least for files, but I thought files and photos all used the briefcase and were not accessible.

Renaissance man:
I paid them a few bucks for more storage which restores the public access.
