When I minimize my applications they do not show on the task bar as normally used to. If hold ALT-TAB I am able to see them and restore but when minimize they disappear. Does anyone know how to fis this and why it is happening?

Thanks, I found out from Mcafee that it is a friendly Greeding Card and it is just to go to add/remove programs and remove the friendly app. and then reboot.
