Hello... I was trying to get my brother's computer onto a network with me. I think I tried to network a drive, maybe z:... anyway, now when I boot up I get the following error:
"Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run Windows or a Windows application.The windows registry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this device file, but the device file no longer exists.
If you deleted this file on purpose try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall or setup program.
If you still want to use the application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file.

Also, before this when it was scanning it showed "c:\>z:login"... I'm not sure if that means anything, but I just thought I'd share it. Again, any help would be appreciated. thanks

The following article may help out with this. Briefly reading through it, it looks like you had a banyan network client previously installed. This file appears to be a relic that has survived and somehow was on your mapped drive (I'm just guessing).
Take a look at the article to remove the problem:
