Hello,
I am helping a friend on a limited budget "fix up" her old Gateway. It only had 64mb RAM and I had a 16mb RAM stick so I added it. The PC now shows 80mb when you look in the System Information but upon boot up, the System Memory Passed only shows 64mb. Is it recognizing the extra RAM or not? How do I make it show 80mb at startup?

could it be that 16 of the 80MB is being used by onboard graphics?
