I had a problem with Suwin gpf krnl386
The brandnew W98 installation always runs corretly, but reinstallation failed with suwin-krnl386 gpf 0001:4DE7. No Bios change resolved the problem, no RAM configuration change. But what I found out:
Start PC in MSDOS, run scanreg /fix
then go to directory windows\system
run attrib -s -r *.*
and delete following files:
framebuf.*
glu32.dll
msgsrv32.exe
msimg32.dll
mstask.*
mstinit.exe
opengl32.dll
sage.*
vga.drv
After this procedure no error occured during reinstallation of Win98
