I am trying to install win98 over win95 with an upgraded motherboard & processor (p2 350) & the HDD from my old machine. The RAM size varies and part way through the install I get "SUWIN error general protection fault in module SETUPX.DLL at 0017:0B20. Please help?

Tim, I would suggest first that you check that Virus checking is disabled in your BIOS. Providing this is OK, please make sure that the W98 version you have is an upgrade, not a full version. You cannot install a full version W98 on a machine that already has a version of Windows on it. Please let me know how you get on.
