Streaming audio into Win Media and Real Player has stopped. Win Media gets errors IEXPLORE Page Fault in DSOUND.DLL or Invalid Memory Access for application Ddhelp.exe & module WINMM.DLL or DSOUND.DLL. Reloaded Win 98 SE and all latest updates to DirectX, Win Media, Montego II driver and Internet Explorer 5. Win Media usually wont unload and requires End Task to remove which usually gens the error. Sometimes the players show a bit stream flowing with no sound but mostly just hang at "Connecting". Using 1.5 Mb/s DSL. Contents of Systray often disappear when IE 5 crashes. DXDIAG reveals no faults. Using 3Com 10/100 to connect to DSL modem. Loaded new driver there too. Failure began as intermittent and proceeded to hard failure over 72 hour period. All apps and devices work fine until I try to listen to streaming audio. Cool huh? Anybody up to this challenge? First one I haven't been able to fix in less than a day.
Summary: Can anyone tell me how to stop an invalid page fault, i'm having it with my browser and my instant messager. Please email me with the answer ...
