Do I need stimon loaded for anything other than scanners or digital cameras? It's auto loading on startup, and I'm trying to recoup all system resources I can get... TIA.

So Stimon has to do with my scanner or camera? I have a HP Scanjet 5pse with a scuzzy card.. I also have a Koda web camera.. My scanner was giving me an error message saying cant access scanner another application is using it.. So I would go under device manager and delete my scanner stuff and reboot.. It would find new hardware and scanner usually would work.. But in my ctrl alt del box were 2 new things one hpsjvxd.exe and stimon.exe.. Well with stimon checked in my startup under msconfig it gives me blue screen when I boot up that says.. (OE) fatal error 0028:F000EA79.. Once I think it said vxd but this blue screen only comes up with stimon.. When I uncheck stimon and leave the hpsjvxd folder in my startup then my scanner says error (2).. I know the fatal error has to do with my stimon.exe and was wondering how I can fix it.. I would appreciate if someone could help me.. You may e-mail me too.. Thanks, Rose
