Yes, I have tried msconfig and removed how many? thats right 19 Programs! Among them are: Pop3trap(deleted program file also) Tsadbot (ran ad-aware and removed it) Realplay(MAJOR resource hog) Hidserv(unnecessary on my system) News Alert(just start it when I need it) Adaptec directcd(I use this feature so rarely, that whenever I use it I go to start, programs, adaptec directcd and click on adaptec directcd) Savenow(actually uninstalled it for good) Ytraymagic lite 1 (I start it up manually via start, programs)

Have you been to this site?: http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_index.htm He has a very inclusive list of startup programs, what they do and if it will cause any problems to remove them from startup. Btw, everytime I use Realplay it's back in startup and I have to re-remove it, so you might find it in startup again.
