Can I copy 'Startup Disk' files (24 files listed in Startup Disk) from C:\WIN98\BASE5.CAB and place them (unzipped) in a folder on [C:], where they can be copied by the Windows 98 'Startup Disk' application? Reason: my "create a starup disk" cannot locate the 24 files that it needs by its default file pathway commands for "copy files from".

Granted, a quick temporary solution for the "copy files from" dialog box is to merely type in --> D:\WIN98 (and inserting my Windows 98 original setup disk in CD ROM drive [D:]. It works ok and files get copied, but I want to avoid cheating with an external CD disk files source (W98 SE CD disk).

How can I get my startup disk application to "copy files from" a folder source (unzipped, of course) within my computer C-Drive (need to know the "create startup disk" file command location and what to add---once I am in there---plus any registry REGEDIT4 add-ons, if necessary)?
