What programs need to start up with windows? I'd like to remove all possible for the fastest start up time, but i'm afraid of damaging my system somehow.

Hi There
While doing msconfig u can uncjheck all the files except the ones listed below:
1. System Tray
2. Task Monitor
3. Scan Registry
4. Load Power Profile
5. Load Power Profile
6. Antivirus Applications

Try this out and decrease the system startup time.

Let me jump in here.
I wanted, also, to shorten my startup time, so I removed the check marks from AtiPTA, Backup Sceduler, Real Tray, Crical Update and MM Tray. I then pressed APPLY and then OK and then rebooted. All the items I had unchecked were checked again. The list keeps getting longert. How can I edit the Startup list to remove duplicate entries?
BILL
